The Builders’ Merchants Awards for Excellence acknowledge the varied work and professionalism of builders’ merchants and their suppliers. The Awards recognise the outstanding performances and individual initiatives and achievements.

 

The 2005 awards nominations produced the biggest crop of entries to date.

Hughes, a traditional, family-run Company with a turnover of £6,000,000 p.a. and employing some 50 people, have built their family business by supplying quality products and generating high levels of Customer satisfaction and loyalty. Reliable, efficient, honest staff who are somehow able to satisfy those last-minute panic requirements and who treat Customers as friends.

 

The result is many Builders' Merchants increasing business and Hughes finishing as Runners Up in the Best Supplier of the Year Award - 2005.
